This artwork is inspired by the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s ancient kingdoms—an island with one of the longest and richest histories, filled with countless stories of kings, queens, princes, and ministers. Each figure reflects power, wisdom, strategy, and the layered life of royal courts.

The composition reimagines these characters through a playful, card-like rhythm—where rulers, jokers, and advisors exist side by side. Much like a deck in motion, it mirrors the dynamics of ancient courts—unpredictable, strategic, and deeply intertwined.
